Sonia commenced her legal career in 2005 after completing her Bachelor of Law and Science in 2003 and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in 2004.
Sonia has practised Family Law for over a decade and has spent time acting as an Independent Children’s Lawyer since 2012, bringing a strong child-focused perspective to her work. She regularly collaborates with Family Consultants, Psychologists, Mediators, and the Court to achieve the best outcomes for clients and children.
Her experience spans Final hearings, Judicial Mediations, relocation (domestic and international), Hague Convention matters, Recovery Orders, and Intervention Order cases. Sonia also understands the interplay between Family Law and the Magistrates’ Court.
Passionate about advocacy, mediation, and mentoring future solicitors, Sonia takes a strategic and transparent approach—offering realistic advice and guiding clients through every stage of their matter.
Outside of work, Sonia enjoys music, movies, time with family, and spoiling her cheeky Jack Russell, Brian.
